Built by Christopher Wren for the first Duke of Marlborough (country residence Blenheim Palace, ancestor of Winston Churchill) in 1853 Prince Albert (consort of Queen Victoria) arranged for the building to be used by the "National Art Training School" and, later, the Royal College of Art. Later it became the home of Edward VII, Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth following the deaths of the latters' respective husbands. It is now the home of the Commonwealth Secretariat. Someone might like to have known this!!!!
