What a long and detailed piece of work it is and so interesting to read I have been sitting for an hour taking it all in and wondering whether it was the ending of Boer War that was being referred to and also wondering what the Russian Infernal Machine would have been? There is so much history in this piece that I am passing it on to family history buffs for their enjoyment. Can anyone answer my questions? Lorna May with thanks. > ____________________________________________________________ > 53 Year Old Mom Looks 33 > The Stunning Results of Her Wrinkle Trick Has Botox Doctors Worried > http://thirdpartyoffers.netzero.net/TGL3241/4ffefb58ea6207b581570st52duc > ------------------------------- > Subscribe to digest by sending an email to CORNISH-D-request@rootsweb.com > with the word SUBSCRIBE in the subject line and body text. 3. Lorna - Tes the ending of the Crimean War - Britain and some odd others against Czarist Russia for no obvious reason except they wanted to give the regiments a workout, and thin the ranks of the Light Horse. = Theirs not to reason why, theirs but to do or die, remember the piece? Onward into the valley of death rode the four hundred. The Russian Infernal Machine? Probably made to blow things up and kill people. Many of these such machines were more danger to the operator than to the enemy. Boer War came 'bout arf-century later. Mafeking, Baden-Powell, all that lot.
