    3. Christmas Greetings to all on the Cornish List!!! Folks, We've thoroughly enjoyed your Christmas Party, even though We've not joined in (shame on me, but 'real life' intruded)! and even though you decided to hold it in the confines of Bodmin Jail... snoring warders being the least of the problems!!!!!!!!!! We've loved the List, and all of you around the world since around 1997, and the Cornish List Christmas Party was a big topic of conversation around the roaring fire in the massive granite fireplace of our tumbledown stone house here in the 'Ancient Capital of Cornwall' as we celebrated our own family Christmas. This is a fireplace that has heard many tales, and seen many scenes over the past many hundreds of years. This was a a scene shared by our own daughters and grand-daughter born here in this special place. We were all conscious that the air was rich with the past. The elaborately carved beams overhead are from the 15th century, the carved stones in the walls are from much earlier, and for those who can sense the past better than I can, the air is full of the hubbub of conversation from past generations who have shared this space. And so, from Cornwall, Anna and I and our family would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year... Nadelik Lowen ha Blydhen Nowydh Da! John and Anna C. in Launceston, Cornwall.
