    3. Thank you for your kind words, Mike! Actually I created the lists in 1996 so, except for a couple of years when Sharon Symons was Listmom, I've been at this for 18 years! 3. G'day, Mike, I'ld like to take you up on the newsletter. There is a large plaque on St Agnes Church wall to a John Luke who died on the way back from Gongo Soco in Brazil. I have the will of a Mark Luke who left money for the education of a young girl over there. Was she a daughter? I can't tie any of these into my family. I was born in The Miner's Hospital down Redruth. Thanks for all your very interesting posts. 3. This evening, whilst on my hands and knees (weeding garden) I was struck by a thought. Not a usual occurrence I agree, but I was transported back to the mid 1950s. In those days my mother used to purchase the "English Women's Weekly". It contained a comic strip of Rupert Bear, many advertisements for matron's amour-plated foundation garments, and a smudgy advert for a genuine lucky Cornish Piskey Charm called "Joan the Wad." Anyone else remember? Anyone sucked in? Any matrons sucked in? Joan has made it to Google which may, or may not, be lucky.. B

    3. I suppose that those matrons might have needed "amour-plated foundation garments" according to their circumstances but the possibilities seem to be limitless!
