Hi everyone - With the recent changes to the Message Boards at Rootsweb there are a couple of things that I thought everyone who views the gateway messages on the Mailing Lists may want to know: 1. Previously, gatewayed board posts came to the mailing list from the poster's address - now they do not. For those of you who are used to being able to press "Reply all" and reply to the posts instead of going to the message board - that no longer works. You have to go to the message board to reply. If you hit reply you WILL get return e-mail because the address being replied to is gc-gateway@rootsweb.com which is an invalid address for posting to the boards. 2. When you post to the message boards - your address is now kept anonymous by default. This is a problem if you want others to be able to contact you. If you post to the message boards and want to change the default setting so that your e-mail address will be shown as it used to be, you can change your settings this way: Go to: http://www.ancestry.com/community/ Then in the upper right hand corner click on: "My Site Preferences" It will then give you the option to let your e-mail address be seen by others. If you have questions or need help - please let me know OFF-LIST and I will try my best to help : ) Regards, jcbuker@bukerfamily.org
I have quite a bit of information on the Corlew family and their descendants that were and are in Missouri as well as the Corlews in California. I have pictures, obits, probates, etc. I have obtained a copy of "Sierra Sanctum" book of poetry written by Clifford Corlew/Corlieu who left Boone County and went to the Fresno CA area. I would be more than happy to share my information. Phyllis Copus __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
