    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: mmasalina Surnames: Bloomfield, Younker, Keller Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.colorado.counties.rioblanco/417/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am doing research on a mining camp in Four Mile Canyon, Boulder County, Colorado. Levi S. and Hilpah Bloomfield, Perry Younker, Andrew J. Younker, and Alwilda Younker Keller were pioneers. They mined and ran a boarding house in the 1870s. Is there a descendent out there somewhere who might know what became of them, or have photographs? Thank you! Marti Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I have an Obit for Winnie Mae Bainbrich (spelling in Obit... I had wrong spelling-in the 1910 census the family name was spelled Bainbrick) She was born Feb. 28th, 1898 and married Arthur Ebler December 21, 1912... only 14 when married. Had three sons and out lived all. 1 son died in infancy, Joseph in WWII and Walter in accident July 18, 1955. The Bainbrich family/ranch was somewhere near Black Sulfur and there were at least 9 children in that family. I'm not sure who Emma was according to spelling but the name of the second husband sounds familar. I'll have to work on that. Colorado. I am writing a book about Piceance Creek which is located in Rio Blanco County, Colorado. There was a family (named Boise) that lived on Fawn Creek , that creek flows into a creek named Black Sulfur and that combined water then flows into Piceance Creek. Around 1890 for about 10 years there was a Post Office located on Black Sulfur. The name Sulphur seems to have been applied to that PO judging from the draft notice address of a man who lived on Fawn Creek and picked up his mail at the Black Sulfur PO. This man's name was Eyer Boise. My father Kay Hughes worked for Eyer in the 1950's. Our family lived on Black Sulfur at the ranch that was known as the John & Ollie Duckett place. I found reference that that there may have been two Postmasters on Black Sulfur a James Mikkelson and Jim Bainbrich Jr. and Nettie Bainbirch. Hope this helps. Author: dainjier1 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.colorado.counties.rioblanco/69.1.1.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi there...I came across my grandfather's name while searching for information on my grandmother. My Grandfather was Howard Rescorla and my Grandmother was Leola Gullion. I know next to nothing about the Rescorla side of the family. Anyway, all I know is that he and grandma were married, (don't know exactly when) but they went on to have 5 children...Netty (1937) which is my Mom and the only one I'm sure of the year born, Howard (known as Edward but don't know why), Larry, Joan and James. All are living except Edward, who passed in 2007. My understanding is that they moved from Colorado to Washington at some point and he abandoned the family during the depression. I don't know how much this helps, but if you want more info, I could probably contact my Aunt and Uncles and give them your email and of course it would be up to them to contact you...but I would like to know more about the family.
