Modene, Easier said than done. I'm in Florida. These particular abstracts are from two Virginia counties, and I have at least one nearby Virginia county to deal with as well, possibly two, regarding the same families. I've been on several trips, but couldn't begin to cover everything pertaining to one of these counties in a two week trip, and these deeds are not, by far, the top priority. The Family History Library is another option, but the one nearest me is seldom open and the one I'm most likely to visit is over an hour's drive. Eventually I will have the deeds and will NEED to have the deeds because there are -understandably- mistakes in the abstracts, the abstracts don't include property descriptions, and the compiler wasn't always able to read the German signatures. For my purposes now, to get things up and running --- This is a project that has been needed for a long time --- the abstracts or information from the abstracts will serve the purpose of establishing residences, migrations, and marriages. I just want to stay on the safe side using them. Debbie Debbie, Why not go to the court house in which the "deeds, court orders, etc." were found and create your own abstracts?
