We don't have to agree with the policy of putting the trees on CDs and selling them--but the submitters were agreeing to the terms whether they remembered having done so or not. They were not duped in any way. It is always important to check the terms you are agreeing to. There is actually is no copyright issue involvement there--it is more a contract. The submitters were not giving up their copyright or the right to use their data in the future--only granting FTM permission to publish the trees and sell them on CD.
