My ancestor, Lizzie MCELWEE, is listed on the 1900 census as a patient at Dr. Work's Private Sanitorium. She was 13 when she was sent there in 1897. I have searched for any information about this institution and can find nothing! Is anyone out there familiar with this place and can you direct me to where I might find her records? Thanks, Catherine
