The obit of Alice Bishop states that her daughter, Mrs. Roy Sutherland, is living in Pueblo at the time of her death in 1913. This daughter was listed as "Sadie" in the 1880 census. She is not living with her widowed mother Alice Maxwell (who married Bishop) in 1900 in Prowers Co. and I can't find her in Colorado in 1900 living by herself. THe problem is that I cannot find a Roy Sutherland 1910 or 1920 in Colorado with a wife Sadie who is the right age and born in Iowa. There is a Roy Sutherland with wife Saide but both are born in Nova Scotia; checked 1910 and 1900 for them and she is listed in these as well as born in Nova Scotia. Alice Bishop was a member of the United Presbyteian Church in 1913 and was buried by the McCarthy FUneral chapel; internment was Mountain View Cemetery. I think it must be that both "Roy" and "Sadie" were family nicknames rather than names used on the Census. Does anyone have any knowledge of any records 1913 which would contain names of residents of Pueblo or the Presbyterian Church? Tax records, school records, city directories, whatever. Would greatly appreciate help. Josette Maxwell BOone NC
