Mary was a child of John Cruson & Chloe Dixon; Chloe died and John Cruson remarried and had 14 children by his second wife, Eleanor Ferrell. Anyway, Mary & her husband were in Stark County, Ohio in about 1816. They can be found in the Ohio, Stark County, Canton Township, Census for 1820 & 1830. In the 1830 census Mary was 30 - 40 years old and the oldest male was 60 - 70 years old; the next youngest male was 20 -30 so I believe Thomas was very old in relation to Mary. Anyway, if Thomas was a Judge, there must be something on him in Stark County. My guess is that there is a generation between your Thomas J. Hurford and Judge Thomas Hurford. Good luck. Charles
