Does anyone know anything about the Bill (or William) Privette plantation in Craighead County, Arkansas circa 1918 near the St. Francis River and Black Oak and Caraway, Arkansas. It was a big white, two story house, and the farm land was fenced in with hay wire. My grandfather, Clyde Marvin Easley, and some of his siblings were born there around 1919 and afterwards until around the fall of 1925 when the family moved back to Mississippi near New Albany. Bill Privette was the uncle of my grandfather, Clyde Marvin Easley, and was transferred around this time I believe to Pueblo, Colorado to work with the Rail Road. Bill Privette was the brother, I believe of either Mattie Velma Garrison, who married Levi Will Easley, (my grandfather's parents) or he was the brother of a lady named Margaret (Ross?) who married a Hartwell Timothy Easley (my grandfather's grandparents). Does anyone have any information about the Privette family and how it connects into my family line? I heard that they were in Colorado. My grandfather's family left Bill Privette's plantation later partially due to malaria from the mosquitoes. I have had difficulty finding out information about this family. If anyone out there knows anything about the people I mentioned, please share it with me. I would be most grateful. PLEASE HELP!! Thank you in advance!!
