I saw the post on the William R. Cox obituary, and I grew up in Tonopah, NV. I remember my Dad telling me about a plane crash during the war, near the Tonopah Army air field. Perhaps it was the same crash. I am sure there would be a story in the newspaper, as my family owned and published it then. The newspaper was The Tonopah Times-Bonanza and it is still in operation.
