The only "prison" in Pueblo County would have been the Pueblo County Jail. The Colorado Department of Corrections operates state prisons at Canon City. Later ones were started in south Canon City and Ordway. If he died in Pueblo County, a death certificate can be obtained from the Pueblo City-County Health Department, Division of Vital Statistics. If he died in Canon City, obtain the certificate from Fremont County. Joan
