I don't know if it would be helpful to you, but I have found additional family members of mine in these records. Most of the Croatian and Slovenian men worked in either mining or steel mills. The local steel mill was the Colorado Fuel and Iron Corp, commonly referred to as "the Mill" and later as "CF&I.". A lot of the steel workers lived near the mill. I remember the mill's loud whistle that could be heard all over the south side of town. It was a reminder of shift changes. The miners commonly went to Leadville. When I was in college in Colorado in the 60's, I had a roommate whose father still worked for an operating mine in Leadville. I am sure Leadville has a historical society.
