Co Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Co/Pueblo/10245 Surname: Hudson, Kenagy, Kerley, McQuary ------------------------- Im Looking for information about Rudolph Harold Hal Kenagy and Veda Marie Mimi Hudson. They were married on 22 Mar 1919 in Walsenburg, Huefano, CO, but their marriage certificate states they were residents of Pueblo, Pueblo Co., CO on that date. Hal Kenagy, who was born in Wichita, KS abt 1982, was an Industrial Arts teacher and had previously taught both shop and history in Guthrie, OK before enlisting in the U.S. Army for service during WWI. I presume he was employed as a public school teacher while residing at Pueblo, CO in 1919. Mimi Hudson Kenagy was a daughter of Alvin Arthur Hudson of Jackson Co., MO. She had three known siblings: Cecil Arthur, Elison and Audrey (1824 - 1928). Audrey was my maternal grandmother and after she died of tuberculosis on 16 Apr 1928, Hal and Mimi raised my mother, Traba Fawn Kerley McQuary (29 Jul 1915 -17 Nov 1996) and her brother, Robert Hudson Kerley (8 Jul 1921 - 21 Nov 1967) in St. Clair Co., IL. (My mother and her brother were Mimis stepsister and stepbrother, respectively.) Its possible that other members of Mimis Hudson immediate family also moved to Pueblo, Pueblo Co., CO prior to her marriage to Hal in 1919. The Hudson family was ravaged by TB while residents of Missouri (In addition to Audrey, Mimis mother and her brother, Elison, are believed to have died of the disease.) and they may have moved to Colorado for their health.
