Hi Everyone, There is a new Rootsweb Mailing List called: OBIT-LOOKUPS. This list will allow people to volunteer for and request obituary lookups. I also hope it will be a forum to discuss finding obituaries, libraries with good newspaper holdings and other such information. I have a website that will be the temporary home for the volunteer list. There is additional information there if you are interested in volunteering: <A HREF="http://members.aol.com/Sjhcamp/index.html">EarthVision</A> or http://members.aol.com/sjhcamp/index.html To subscribe, put the singel word: subscribe in the body of your email message and send to: for Mail Mode - OBIT-LOOKUPS-L-REQUEST@rootsweb.com for Digest Mode - OBIT-LOOKUPS-D-REQUEST@rootsweb.com To send mail to the list: OBIT-LOOKUPS-L@rootsweb.com To Volunteer, please send email to me at: sjhcamp@aol.com with the following information: State, County, Your Name, Your Email Address. Dear Fellow Listers, I hope I am not out of line here, but I think this is important to know and it's a good way to reach many people. You may want to forward it to friends. My brother works for Yahoo! and sent me info on a legitimate virus alert. Rather than printing it here please go to the Symantec AntiVirus Research (these are the folks who publish Norton AntiVirus) Site at: http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/ and click on Hot Topics then click on Alert: Warning About Worm.ExploreZip. This definitaely is a valid and very insidious virus and until a filter has been developed it is a very real threat. Bonnie J. Hello, I am new to the list and wondered if anyone could help me find some information on a missing ancestor. The McIlwees lived all over Colorado beginning around 1880. In 1897 an Elizabeth McIlwee was sent to a state "asylum" in Pueblo. On the 1900 census she is listed as: Lizzie McElwee, b. 1885 in CO (Crested Butte), patient in Dr. Works Private Sanitarium. I am wondering if there is a way for me to check records and see if she died there or was released. The newspaper (Aspen Times) accounts said basically that she was hard to handle and a danger to her younger siblings and therefore she was sent there. She was only twelve at the time. If anyone has any information that could help, I would greatly appreciate it! Catherine Grundy Grundy.1@nd.edu

Hello to All, Somehow (who knows??????????) my surname registry page in Pueblo County got corrupted as well as my backup copy. I'm going to have to reconstruct it from scratch. I'll use the query page, but had some researchers who only listed on the surname page. If ANY of you had a surname registered on my page, please let me know so I can get you included. I know that quite a few of you did. Thanks, I have my work cut out for me.... Laurie

My aplogies for the lengthy roll call list for the decendents of my ancestors in my direct family line. Some may have been confused about that part. My intentions were to have lookups on two of my oldest ancestors in my list sent to you. The rest of the names were for private mailings to make contact, connect, exchanges, and updates for those responding to my roll call. It is clear that Isaiah McNEESE and Bloomer WHITE are the ones that we need to lookup because our genealogies stop there with those two and go no further for many, many surnames in our families. Thank you all that responded to the email and those of you, who did lookups and even made contact, connections, exchanges, and updates. This all was very helpful in the WHITE - MCNEESE - CAMPBELL Family Web Site, which archives records. It was my pleasure to do lookups, send out exchanges of records and updates, and to meet some of you personally. I want to ask that those of you, who might have been confused in my post to understand that I sent out a correction and tried to clarify my request in a simple statement. Please respond to the lookup if you are in the family and be at liberty to contact me if I can be of help to you in anyway. I try to do some research for the family or those with related interests though my time is limited. I give instructions on how to find what you need if I am unable to do so. It was a great Mother's Day and since I did not say Happy Mother's Day to those of you, who are mothers, then I hope it was a good one for you. Kindly, with regards, Constance

Hello All... I am new here to the Mailing List. I would like to get lookups, exchange records, and make connections. Personally, I have errected a Family Records and Archives Web Site in behalf of this mailing list and those in it with regards to my very large family Genealogy of the geographical area here pertaining to the WHITE and McNEESE families, which obviously has something to do with this thread. It includes records on Surnames, Genealogies, Histories, Ancestries, births, marriages, deaths, immigration, wills, military, divorces, children, etc. I hope to go into more specifics with you in the near future about it. It is a contribution to the areas, Counties, Countries, Names, and Histories to many locations. Try it out and take a look at it. If you find anything worthwhile then let me know and if you can contribute further to it then let me know. Someone in your family might be listed here. Try doing a look up for further information on connections. There are over 8000 individuals listed and over 1900 Surnames listed. (Too many to list them all here in this mailing list so take a look to see if your family is listed here) I wish that I could list all the information here at one time that pertains to this thread but it is so vastly large that I can only contribute parts at a time. So, in the meantime, I am sending the Web Site in whole as it is very huge. So please view it at this time while you can and Bookmark it if you will. http://members.spree.com/sip/palisades/history.htm Constance
The 1936 obit for Susan Wilson in Jewell Co. KS said Mr. & Mrs. L. C. Tedrow and son Erman from Pueblo attended the funeral. Does anyone know them? Thanks, Kathy
In Rootsweb Review, Vol. 2, No. 15, we were advised listowners can set up lists to be archived. Will the COPUEBLO list be set up so old list messages will be available in the Archives? http://archiver.rootsweb.com/ I have been saving them, but it takes up valuable space that could be better used. Carolyn
Does anyone have a source who can help this person? Maybe a city directory? Seeking descendants of Charles HALL who married Margaret "Mattie" RATTLEY in Pueblo, CO in 1889. Margaret RATTLEY was born in KS to James (1841-1896) and Elizabeth RATTLEY (1846-aft 1920). ******** Robert
Researching the descendants of Maude HARRIS (b. 1879) who settled in Denver, CO. after 1912 following the death of her husband Arthur C. HARRIS. Maude lived on Columbine Street in Denver with her son Booker (1909), daughter Elizabeth (1902) and mother Elizabeth RATTLEY (1846). Maude's parents were James (1841-1896) and Elizabeth RATTLEY. I have information on Maude's ancestors in KS and NC and I also have one photograph of her grandmother Martha RATTLEY ******** Robert
