Co Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Co/Pueblo/119 Surname: Schuneman ------------------------- Julie, I looked up your name in in my book, "From Mace's Hole, The way it was To Beulah, The Way it is Now". Third printing 2000, page 68. There were just a couple of sentenses "On the return trip to Colorado the married couple {they are talking about John Sease and Narissa Sprinkle Sease) accompanied by the Bride's sister, Susanna, later to become the wife of Frank J. Schuneman and be fondly remembered by generations of Sease children as, "Aunt Sue Schuneman," If this is The Frank you are looking for, he married Susanna Sprinkle. Susanna and Narissa were both from Missouri according to the book. John Jacob Sease was living in Beulah and went to Missouri for some reason (the Sease family was orginally from there--Cass county). He married "Nora" in 1875 in Missouri. Susanna went back to Colorado with John and Nora. The book does not say when they were married. The Book also lists three Schuneman's buried in the Beulah, Pueblo County Cemetry. Frank J. Schuneman 1849-1932 Frankie Schuneman 1879-1881 Sue Schuneman 1841-1932 There is also a link a the Pueblo Library where you can look up obits on line. Co Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Co/Pueblo/116 Surname: Schuneman ------------------------- I'm looking for information on Frank Schuneman. According to his obituary, he died in Beulah, CO after 50 yrs. of pioneering. He was born abt. 1849-1851 in Buffalo, NY to William Henry Schuneman and unknown wife. He moved with his father and stepmother, Cornelia DeMerritt, to Wisconsin then to IA where his father died in a prairie fire (1860). He and his brothers George and Henry lived with their uncle in IA, then Frank and Henry moved to Beulah, CO during the Pike's Peak goldrush. Henry began farming and married in Beulah in 1878, then moved back to IA in 1881. Frank remained in Beulah until his death. No dates are given in the obit, and no date or name of paper is found. If anyone can help me find out more about Frank Schuneman, I'd greatly appreciate the help!!! THANKS!!
