I have about 4 pages from a book on the flood. It doesn't mention a train wreck that I noticed from a quick scan, however it gives other significant details and damage with a couple of pictures. My great grandfather moved along with three grown sons and families to the area to work on the flood reclamation so my father was born in Pueblo. If you would like copies, contact me at gjham49.yahoo.com sincerely,

Posted on: Pueblo Co. Co Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Co/Pueblo/141 Surname: Smith, Wright ------------------------- My mother, Frances Smith Waggoner, is searching for information on a train that wrecked because of the Pueblo, CO "1921 Great Flood" -- her grandfather, Robert Clinton Smith worked for the train company and was on the train that crashed into the river because of the flood. He was never found -- although rumor had it that he crawled out of the river missing one arm. The family never heard from him again. Someone told my grandfather that his father was seen in Galveston, TX about 20 yrs later, (this man was missing one arm), and had changed his name to W. C. Wright, and had no memory of the Pueblo, CO - 1921 great flood or the wreck. Anybody got any history on the flood and the train crash? On Robert Clinton Smith or W. C. Wright? Thank you so much.
