Greetings from Texas Is there some kind soul in Pueblo, Colorado or someone who might have resources that would have a listing of folks buried in the city of Pueblo (aka Pueblo City), Pueblo County, Colorado - AND BE WILLING TO DO A LOOKUP???? Our library has no books for Pueblo County, CO and I haven't had any luck on the internet. Martha Skeeters NOEL died on August 19, 1915. I just need to know the name of the cemetery (and anything else about the location of the grave site). Needless to say I would appreciate any help anyone can give me. Thank you all for taking the time to read this message. Judy Robson West in Texas

I've done family history research in the Trinidad, CO public library. I know that there is an index card file of obituaries by surname/given name in the genealogy research room of the Carnegie Public Library there in Trinidad. Perhaps you could call/write the Library there. Another suggestion is that some of the larger newspapers have online searches for obits available and that may be a resource for you for the Pueblo obit. Hope that this helps. Summit George Stearns is the son of Elijah Stearns and Eliza Jones. The name Summit struck me at first, as well. If, later I come accross the family name Summit, I will post it.
I will be going to Pueblo, Pueblo County, Colorado, the first part of October. If anyone would like for me to take a photo of a headstone while I am there, I will be happy to. Please send as much information about the deceased as possible. Thanks, Shirley Azvedo nee Huskey s.azvedo@worldnet.att.net

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DZ.2ADE/216.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Hi, I understood the message. I just wanted to let you know that many of the Summit women when they married gave their last name to their children as a middle name. I have seen this time and time again. I thought you may have a Summit connection. I am also very aware of a George Summit living in Ohio born 1813 in Germany. I just thought you might want to consider that possibility since the name Summit is unusual and almost always a surname in general, rarely given as a first or middle name. Glen Summit
