Buried Springfield Cemetery, Baca Co, CO. (typed as written paper unknown) MEMORIAL Caleb FIMPLE was born July 3, 1893 at Whitman, Nebraska. He was educated in the public schools of Nebr., and finished High School at Grand Junction, Colorado. He was married to Lettie SKETCHLEY of Hammond, Okla., at Elreno, Okla., on June 3, 1913, to which union was born two girls, Gale and Billy, all of whom survive him. His mother, Malinda FIMPLE, preceeded him to the great beyond. He is survived by one brother, Robert FIMPLE, of Clinton, Oklahoma, and 4 sisters, Ina MOOD, Herring, Oklahoma, Rhoda CATES, Leedy, Oklahoma, Jessie DAVIS, Rogers, Arkansas; Martha FOSTER, Clinton, Oklahoma and one half sister, Viola Marie, of Campo; 2 half brothers, Jimmie Ray and Rufus P. both of Campo; and his father J.R. FIMPLE and step mother, Levere FIMPLE all of Campo, Colorado. He united with the First Methodist church in his early life in Oklahoma. About 12 years ago he came to Baca county and filed upon and proved up a homestead 11 miles south and 3 miles west of Springfield, Colorado, since which time has been actively engaged in farming, stockraising and the real estate business. He was always obedient, upright and honorable with his company and associates and practiced the Golden Rule of doing unto others as he would be done by. He looked at death as some delightful journey, Thought life had given him heaping cups of all Best gifts, and many a cup of pleasure. He has passed over the hill of time so level, The level of Time Beyond to receive the joys And in that house not made by hands. He placed his feet in square of justice And this is the principle on though life Our prayer is to receive this welcome guest And forgive any unforeseen thing done while in this past life, Acts against thy will; and may he receive the joys instore So goodby, we know that love lives beyond the Grave.
