OK everyone, my lone two entries at http://www.findagrave.com/ are in need of company from information you enter. On the right (non-famous) side just click "search for a cemetery" and then enter fairmount and colorado. You'll be amazed how many Fairmounts there are and you'll have to scan for the Prowers county entry. I'm sure other Prowers county cemeteries are there ready for entries too, but Mt. Olive (enter Mount in search) is the only other name I can remember. It currently has zero entries. And I think the map may be incorrect, but hey ...
Forwarded as requested. It had been discovered in some locales in Colorado that cemeteries are being destroyed. McLean and his brother Neil N. McLean. These brothers relocated to Lamar Colodado in 1885 from Brock Twp. Ontario, Canada. From the Cannington Gleaner in 1901 D.A. owned and operated a livery stable and sale barn and his brother a hardware and gents store. In 1912 when Neil was renewing his Gleaner subscription he mentioned at that time he was a wholesaler of medicines and jewelery. Appreciate any help. Del McLean

Co Queries Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Co/Prowers?read=21 Surname: ROYSTON ------------------------- Original Posting January 5, 2000--- In 1929 one Howard L. ROYSTON (perhaps sometimes known as Herbert ROYSTON), from California, was charged with a robbery and murder in Lamar, Prowers County, CO, convicted, and subsequently executed. There are articles in the San Francisco papers. They are dated beginning in August, 1929, with the trial and sentencing in October. The execution was covered in the July 20, 1930 edition of the S.F. Chronicle. My queries: Are there any local newspaper or court accounts available from Lamar? Where would the execution have taken place?

I do know she was born in Lamar and she told about a flood on the Arkansas and her dad or mother putting her up on a table in their house to be out of the water, she was three years old at the time she said! I guess what I wanted was just conformation of her birth there.
