I have no dates for Lizzie Dillard since I'm not sure what's on the gravestone at Pleasant Grove Cemetery applies to her. J Henry Copeland was born about 1808 in Laurens County, South Carolina and served in the Civil War where he died at Richmond, Virginia of pneumonia according to my mother in law. She says they brought him home by mule team covered with coal to preserve his body and buried him in Duncan's Creek Church Cemetery in Laurens County. There is a J H Copeland buried there in 1907, but that's not him, he didn't live that long!! He is the son of John II Copeland (1782-1865) and Nancy Mills. John II is the son of John Copeland (1748-1826) married to Margaret Blakely. Hope someone can provide more information on Henry and Lizzie Dillard Copeland.
