    1. My Copelands - Elijah
    2. I agree that we all benefit from sharing our research information. It's like one person having a piece of the puzzle and by sharing we can bring it all together. However, I was very surprised when I found that the familysearch.org site had information on my grandmother and her family that was obviously information that I had submitted to a rootsweb list and some of the information that was on my Grandmother was actually incorrect. I had no idea who the research submitter was (their name was listed as being the submitter) but I soon learned that they were interested in selling information to me and was not in the least bit interested in correcting the errors their research contained. I have my grandmother's family Bible and have birthdates, death dates, marriage records, etc. My family research has always been document. The reason I know that this is information that I submitted via Rootsweb is due to the fact that when I first joined the list, I was a little concerned about putting much information about my grandmother (birth dates, date of death, etc.) on the internet. So I said circa XXXX date. I think research should remain free, after all much of it is taken from public records. Okay so enough of that!!! I haven't posted to the Copeland list in sometime....Hoping someone out there has an Elijah. What about it???? According to Goodspeeds Memoirs of Eastern Arkansas, the Copelands came to Arkansas from Alabama. Elijah's wife was Margaret (Henderson??) and they had Mary Elizaabeth, Wade and thomas. Evidently the family settled in TX before the birth of Mary Elizabeth, because she was born there in 1860. Linda

It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a Lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest Gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn't matter whether you are a Lion or a Gazelle . . . when the sun comes up, you'd better be running."
