    1. Fw: Virus Warning, your computer may be infected throught email from me...
    2. Dan Benedict
    3. Hi Everyone, I just got this Virus Warning that follows my comments, in the mail and scanned my hard drive and sure enough, the file was there. I followed the instructions given to me and hope that does the trick, but I also plan to run my virus software also. I don't know why my virus software missed it, but it did and I am deeply sorry if it causes any of you any trouble. Again, I'm sorry, but I hope by passing this email on within minutes of receiving it, that no one's computer will be harmed. Cathy If you are receiving this email, you are one of the people in my address book. A particularly nasty virus has found its way to my computer and likely to yours. It is transmitted through your address book, lays dormant for 14 days, and will destroy your hard drive. Below I have enclosed the sequence for removing it. Please follow these directions explicitly. Sorry for the hassle. REMOVE IT BY FOLLOWING THESE STEPS. 1. Go the "start" then to "find or search" (depending on your computer) 2. In the "search for files or folders" type sulfnbk.exe --- this is the virus. 3. In the "look in" make sure you're searching Drive C 4. Hit "search" button (or "find") 5. If this file shows up (it an ugly blackish icon that will have the name "sulfnbk.exe" DO NOT OPEN IT! 6. Right clickon the file - go down to delete and left click. 7. It will ask you if you want to send it to the recycle bin, say "yes" 8. Go to the desktop where all the icons are) and double click on the "recycle bin" 9. Right click on "sulfnbk.exe and delete it again - - or empty the bin. 10. If you find it, send this e-mail to all in your address book, because that's how it's transferred. If these instructions seem simplistic to anyone, I apologize. I'm giving you what was given to me.

    3. This is a virus hoax. This file is a normal Microsoft operating file used to restore long file names. If it is located in the C:\Windows\Command folder it is in it's proper place. Make sure your virus software is up-to-date. For more information on this see: http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/sulfnbk.exe.warning.html If you've already removed this file the above URL contains instructions on how to restore it.
