Does anyone have any additional information on the gentleman. I am trying to locate the parents of Green Copeland, born approximately in 1805 in TN. I recently discovered that the name of his wife is Jane GOAD/GOARD. Her father in William GOAD/GOARD. In 1830 Green and Jane were living in Overton Co, TN newly married. I noticed that William COPELAND and WIlliam GOAD were living next to each other. William is according to several of your websites the son of Joel Josiah. Some list him as dying young,and others list him as being alive in 1830 in Overton. I suspect my Green is the grandson of Joel Josiah COPELAND. I am not sure which son he belongs to. The names of Green COPELAND children are 1) Rachel 2) Elendor (GOAD family name) 3) Nancy Ann (GOAD family name) 4) WIlliam A, 5) Josiah L. 6) Sarah Elizabeth 7) Frances Marion 8) Henry Harrison The fact that Green has children named Josiah and Harrison makes me wonder if he is not the son of Joel Josiah. I also think that Green's uncle may be a Josiah who died in Benton Co, Arkansas after 1850. He was born in NC around 1775. He has a son named William C. who was born in TN in 1815, who named his son Green Lackey COPELAND. I have also seen that Fredrick to son of Richard COPELAND and Margaret HARTSAW had a son named Green. Does anyone have any additional information on William (1830 census Overton) or Josiah "Josar" the sons of Joel Josiah COPELAND? Any help would be appreciated.
