I am researching the Copeland family Catherine Copeland born 1778 in North Carolina she then moved to Jefferson Co TN there she married Thomas Mathis /Matthews in 1797 she moved to AL then to AR where she and her children settled, she died about 1866 in Washington Co AR We do not know where Thomas died.
