Could this fit in with your family for my gr gr grandmother on my dad's,Walters side. was a Copeland. There are tons of them in Parker CO TX and surrounding areas. My gr gr gr grandad is below with his daughter, a McBee. She died in 1850/51 in Caldwell CO KY. They had: (1) Mary" Polly b March 8 1827; (2) Stephen born abt 1829 Wilson Co TN and died in 1853 in Caldwell CO KY; (3) George William born June 18 1830; (4) Matilda Jane born July 3 1832; (5) Sarah Talksy "Sally" born April 13 1834; (6) Nancy born abt 1836;died 1853 Caldwell CO KY; (7) Talitha born Sept 20 1838; (8) Elizabeth born 1846; (9) Mariam W born March 28 1846; (10) Marian Frances " Fannie" b Jan 16 1849. Perhaps William Copeland is in the 1830 Census as head of a household. I've been working with the county historial societies--the address of the one in Hardeman County is 618 Clift Street, Bolivar, TN 38008 (2004 publication). While I haven't had any break-throughs, many of the societies have responded (often a volunteer genealogist). Good luck.
