Now I don't know if Hugh was related or not. He was in Iredell county, NC in the 1810 census, same as James Copeland and next door neighbor, Elizabeth Copeland Abbott. I've saw posted on One World Tree, James, Elizabeth, Hugh and Mary as children of a Dennis Copeland. Hugh was widowed and later moved to Jackson County, Indiana before 1820. James moved at the same time, settling first is Johnson County, but was in Jackson county by 1830. Miles, Martin, Rufus, James David, Samuel, and John. Thank you very much.
