Hi Larry Just by chance I have been tracking this same family. My Great grand mother was a Copeland. I happened accross Joseph N. Copeland in Etowah county Al 1910,1920,1930 and in Lathamville DeKalb county 1900. Anyway, I went as far back as Richard Neely Copeland, his wife was Maryline Hafley. I have just read a from a great helper, that Richard Neely Copeland gives us a choice of fathers 1 William or 2 Joseph. Larry is the name of the man that has been helpful to me. He has researched Copeland's quite sometime. Perhaps he can be of some help to you. I will look up his e mail address and send to you. I still have not found for sure the parentage of My Great Grandmother Sarah Hannah. I thought that your family Richand Neely Copeland might offer some hope but I'm still not sure.
