Kathy Clark is my aunt. John Hansel Copeland was married about 1878 in San Antonio, TX. He married Wilhemina Ludwig. They're on the 1880 census with two children: Elizabeth, age 2 and John H. Jr, age 4 months. John Jr would have been 19 years old in 1899, so he could have been your greatgrandmother's father. I have a death date for John Jr. of May 14, 1939. Do you know when your greatgrandmother's father passed away? Did she have any siblings? I have a feeling we're probably cousins. I'm descended from Frederick Copeland (brother to John Hansel Copeland, Sr). He left Texas and lived for a while in Missouri, then moved to New Mexico and lived the last years of his life in Quanah, Texas.
