John Finley, Richard Copelan, David Copelan, Jofeth Hutton, Sufanah Stanton, Rachel Copelan, Joseph Bennett, Sarah Stanton, John Stanton, Liddia Copelan, Petter Stoute, Sarah Stanton, Samuel harris, Margret Stoute, Mary Copelan, Samuel Stoute, William Copelan, Phebe Bennett, Thomas Copelan, James Hill, James Copelan, Jofiah Moffet, John Copelan, John Mickle, Henery Willis, David Hill, Joel Ferree, Antoney Litle, Philip Ferree, Charls Stoute, Daniel Stanton, William Willis, Margret Carson. David was the son of Richard Copeland. (Do you know the name of Richard Copeland’s wife?) Looking for proof that David and Rachel Copland had a daughter, Rachel Copeland. Rachel is my gggggg Grandmother. Rachel was born in York Co. Pennsylvania in 1760 and died January 23, 1829. She is buried in the Rapp Cemetery, Stonelick Twp. Clermont County, Ohio. (just east of Cincinnati, Ohio) I visited the cemetery last March. In the History of Clermont County it states that Rachel Copeland was from an English Quaker family. Lost their money at the time of the Revolution because they adhered to the King. History on Clermont County, Ohio…… a sketch on Jesse Glancy says his wife Rachel Copeland is related to John Alden and Priscilla Mullens of the MayFlower people. Rachel Copeland married Jesse Glancy in 1783 York Co. Pennsylvania. *Jesse Served in the Revolution. Grandfather born in Ireland. Moved from York Co, PA in October of 1805 (another account states December 1804 and that he brought the children of his deceased brother William, with him) with his wife, Rachel Copeland, three sons, William, John and Joseph and daughter Elizabeth, a nephew James and a niece, to Clermont Co. Ohio. The book: " History of Clermont Co. OH" 1880 by Rockey and Bancroft, gives an account of their difficult journey as the weather grew colder and heavy snows impeded their travel. So, Rachel Copeland and Jesse Glancy lived in York Co, Pa for about 22 years before moving to Clermont Co. Ohio. I am trying to prove that her parents were David Copeland and Rachel Stanton. Would love any information you have for David Copeland. Kind regards, Lori L. Mulroney address2lori@hotmail.com
