Grace was my grandmother on mothers side. A side note if you do not already know it is that there is a Mayflower connection thur your COPELAND line that (I believe) has been proved thur your Phineas COPELAND to the Mayflower Society, sure of which children beyond that.

OH John b. 1780 in Surry Co., NC; d. 1844 in St Johns Twp., Auglaize Co., OH The above information is from Herman Coplen's book: "Copeland/Coplen & Allied Families". It's a well researched book but I've not taken the time, as yet, to research this info myself. Moses Allen b. 1823 in OH; d. 9/9/1887 in Union Twp., Aug. Co., OH Ursula b. 10/6/1859 OH; d. 2/11/1912 in Los Angeles, CA Ursula was my grandfather's mother. She married George Wesley Bechdolt. Which makes her the "end of the Copeland Line" for me. Herman did trace several branches of this family. His info, for me, ended with Moses Allen. But, from there, I had personal information from my own family. Ursula and G. There are 2 opinions on John Copeland son of James and Elizabeth Martha. One says he's the one who went to Ohio. Another says he married Zana Lasater and went to Buchanan Co MO., and that is what I have in my tree. However, I could be wrong, and if so, I want to know which John married Zana! dotsicle
