Hello to the Rootsweb Lists of MYRICK, AINSWORTH, PARKER, HERRINGTON, GRANTHAM, STUCKEY, LEWIS, BRIGHT, COPELAND, GRAVES, EARLE, ELLZEY, PRINE This morning, Friday, November 29, 2002, my beautiful and wonderful aunt, Mrs. Ellen Grace MYRICK AINSWORTH, passed away. Mrs. Ellen Grace MYRICK AINSWORTH was almost 81 years of age when she passed away today from a heart attack in a nursing home in Alexandria, Louisiana where she had a short time ago entered to live after stroke complications. Up until that time she had been a remarkably vibrant woman and in true Louisiana style loved "Popeye's" fried chicken. Mrs. Ellen Grace MYRICK AINSWORTH spent most of her years singing with her lovely voice in church and with family and was born: January 09, 1922 near Magee, Simpson County, Mississippi to parents, Allie Artimissa PARKER, (Twin,) born: August 11, 1892 near Braxton, Simpson County, Mississippi, died: October 07, 1976 in Oak Grove, West Carroll Parish, Louisiana where she had lived on the family farm since about 1929 when she moved with her oldest children and husband, James Martin "Jim" MYRICK, born: March 02, 1892 near Magee, Simpson County, Mississippi, died: September 10, 1940 near Oak Grove, West Carroll Parish, Louisiana at his farm where his wife, Allie, continued to live until her death 36 years later. Mrs. Ellen Grace MYRICK AINSWORTH was certainly one of the great beauties of 1940's Louisiana with her 'movie star' face and figure as well as being a lovely singer and a wonderful cook in a family of wonderful cooks. Everyone loved Ellen's 'Chicken Spaghetti' which she prepared for many "Sunday Singings" and family reunions. And her smile lit up the room along with her sparkling personality. While "Pee Wee" was Career Navy in his chosen profession as a Chef ,which he continued after retiring from the Navy, Ellen, "Pee Wee," and their children, Carolyn, Ed and Terri, also lived in Rhode Island and other locations.
