I've been trying to tie my Copeland line to Wayne County. John Copeland, b. 1748, VA or NC, was father of Lott Copeland, born 1772, Surrey County, NC. Lott moved thru KY and on into MO. Lost track of John. Think he wound up in Wayne County with some of his kids, but can't tie it in.Some of Lotts descendants came down to TX and that's where I tie in, thru my paternal grandmother.
