    3. Jerry, I hope you're right. But, Herman's references were from personal contact with other researcers of a branch of the Copelands. There were books, also. In the case of Peter Copeland, there were two about the same age, so Herman assumed Peter was lying about immigrating from Great Britain. I've got numerous reference documents, Xerox copies of the original books. If you can't find a particular reference let me know and I'll see if I have it.
