I would like to exchange notes with you (e-mail: [email protected]) as I have theorized that he left Tennessee to avoid being in the Confederate Army. According to Census data, he gave his birth year as 1826. I do not know his parents' names, nor where he was born, nor anything about his siblings. He came to Indiana, married in 1849 or 1850 and had three children but only one of whom survived. It would be great to connect with his other family members. Harlan Copeland
