I am looking again at my COPELAND relatives as I have found out more about one branch but would like to know more if anyone recognizes them. William COPELAND together with his siblings and parents came from Scotland' travelled across the north of England working on various construction sites in Durham and Yorkshire 1. WILLIAM1 COPELAND s/o Joseph COPELAND and Elizabeth MCCLYMONT was born on 28 Aug 1875 at 38 Russell Street in Newton-on-Ayr, AYR, SCT. Elizabeth McClymont was the official informant for the birth. (4.00pm). He married Alice Ward, daughter of Isaac Ward and Sarah Palmer, on 6 Aug 1900 at the Parish Church in Muggleswick, DUR, ENG. Mary Copeland and George Ball witnessed the marriage. He died on 30 May 1911 at age 35. His body was interred in Keighley Cemetery Keighley, YKS, ENG, on 2 Jun 1911. ALICE WARD d/o Isaac WARD and Sarah PALMER was born circa Jan 1881 in Loughborough, LEI, ENG. Children of William1 Copeland and Alice Ward were as follows: i. NELLIE. ii. ANNIE. iii. ALICE married Abraham Hartley. 2. iv. SARAH ELIZABETH, b. circa Feb 1901 Hisehope, Co Durham; m. Thomas Green. v. MARY was baptized on 12 Apr 1903 at Parish Church in Muggleswick, DUR, ENG. (Same day as baptism of Robert Payne s/o James and Margaret Payne.). Generation Two 2. SARAH ELIZABETH2 COPELAND (William1) was born circa Feb 1901 in Hisehope, DUR, ENG. (June Quarter 1901 Lanchester Registration District which includes Muggleswick/Hisehope). She was baptized on 12 May 1901 at Parish Church in Muggleswick, DUR, ENG. She married Thomas Green.
