Greetings, My Copeland branch was probably Scots-Irish although I cannot prove that claim. My great, great grandfather was born in Tennessee in 1826, and I know nothing of his birthparents. So, I'm afraid that my research will not be of help to you since I cannot trace my American ancestors to Scotland/Great Britain at this time. Are you aware of the Copeland DNA testing that is being done. I believe it is a fledging effort, and I have yet to try it, but intend to.
