I find George and his family in Bay City, MI, in 1900. They are indexed with the spelling "COPLAND". George was born Feb 1862 and Sarah in July 1874, both in "English Canada". George came to the US in 1884 and Sarah in 1887. Both had been naturalized. George worked as a "flag man"; did this have to do with the railroad? In 1900, they had been married 6 years. Sarah had one child born and living, so it appears that Violet was their only child. dotsicle
