    3. In Lancaster, Lancashire I think every other male Copeland/Coupland was named Lawrence/Laurence. The hard part is figuring out which was which. We have traced my husband's family back to a William Coupland, b. April 1776. We believe his parents were Laurence Coupland and Elizabeth Richardson. Sibblings were - Robert, b. 1773, Laurence, b. 1778, May 1780, Harry, b. 1783 and Margaret, b. 1785. Are any of these people familiar to anyone? Hello, wanted to let you know that the files were sent out by a virus , I am on a message board to find imformation about my family , and someone sent me a file that supposedly had part of my family tree on it , and being so excited , I tried to open it and the virus started sending to people in my email and address book , I am SO sorry , but I did a virus scan and all is taken care of , may be a good idea for you to run one , just in case , again , please accept my appologies :-(

I obtained some information off this website on the family back to John Copeland DOB 02/24/1615 or 1616 in Dolphin Leigh, England. I'm not sure if he was married twice or not, and the dates may be a little off.Looks like he married an Elizabeth ? in 1642 and their children were Nicholas 1645, William 1647, & Joseph 1650.
