His father was Samuel and mother Elizabeth Iles. Abt. 1725 he married a Sarah ? He had a sister Sara who married a Bellamy. Their children were Elizabeth and JOHN b. abt. 1730 N.C..He died bef. 1794 in Halifax, N.C. Wife unknown but children were JAMES, Thomas, Samuel, Mary, Elizabeth, Sarah, Dolly and Isles. James b. N.C. died abt. 1848 N.C. married a CATHERINE ?. Their children SYLVIA, Herbert, Sophia, William L. John and Williamson. Sylvia was born 1810, Chatham, N.C. died 1877. Married Elijah Kirksey.
