ancestry.com has some very good info online for free but I do not know for how long it will be free. On Ancestry. com home page hit "list of all databases. Go to list N-S. Find South Carolina Magazine of Ancestral Res. Vol. 1-20 and click there. Type in COOPER and you will get 350 hits. I have downloaded them to a floppy because I do not have time to read them all.
