    1. Re: [COOPER-L] COOPER BREAKTHROUGH! CADER'S ESTATE-David, etc.-New info
    2. Danny, I read you e-mail with great interest! I have been looking for two years for the parents of my third great grandfather, Stephen Cooper, who was born about 1797 in North or South Carolina. This was according to the census in Wayne County, Tennessee. At his property settlement after his death, they called him Joseph, but it may have been a mistake because his eldest son was Joseph. He, himself, seems to have always gone by Stephen. He had a relative or close associate named Samuel Cooper, who I believe was his brother, or possibly a first cousin. They are found in Lauderdale County, Alabama, Wayne and Hardin Counties, Tennessee together. Something that gets me wondering about these families is the Cypert connection. I have seen them associated with the Coopers through several generations, and at least three states. Lawrence Scypeart died in Wayne County, Tennessee, and his kids are married into Samuel Cooper's line, which migrated to Arkansas. Old Lawrence came into Wayne County from Georgia, I think, living there with that line of Coopers that were descended from William and Lydia. They are the ones that migrated to Florida. Nate White had put out that gedcom that said that a Stephen Cooper was born to Joseph and Elizabeth of that line, in 1793, in Union County, South Carolina. Some of the people on Cooper One List have protested that finding, and apparently Nate has not defended it. Not sure where he got it. Anyhow, I would love to know your lineage. I always enjoy your input. Seems like you might be a relative of mine. Not sure of course. Barbara Cooper McGee
