I am seeking information on my GGG Grandfather Isaac Cooper, b. 1784 RI. I think his father may have been William Cooper shown on 1790 census of Newport, RI. Isaac lived in Onondaga Co, NY in l8l0. He lived in Sparta, NY l820 and l830. He lived in Loraine Co, OH 1840. He lived in St Joseph Co, MI 1850. It is believed he lived in Noble Co, IN l855. He lived in Loraine Co, OH l860 which was the last census I have found. The l850 census showed his wife named Elizabeth, born PA, about his same age. Their children were as follows: Virtue b. abt 1809 mar Charles Comstock James J b. abt 1810 mar Joanna Edmunds, 2nd Hannah Slyter Christopher Z b. abt 1811 mar Nancy Slyter George (Washington) b. abt 1813 mar Betsy Slyter Beulah b. abt 1818 Mar Dave Dunning Roswell b. abt l8l9 Mar Janett Sprague Betsy b. abt 1824 mar Ephraim Pratt I have names of the children on the above children of Isaac and Elizabeth if anyone is interested. Three sons above, James, Christopher, and George (Washington) were killed in a boiler explision on May l8, 1855 in a sawmill at Brimfield, Noble Co, IN. These three brothers were married to three sisters, daus of Samuel and Margaret (Brown) Slyter. Also killed in the same explosion was Samuel Cooper, only son of Christopher and his wife Nancy.
