Gary, My ggggrand father, Jonathan Cooper, was from VA. He was born 16 April 1818/19. He moved to Gurnsey Co. Ohio where he and his wife Mary Mastin raised eight children. This family ended up in Missouri. Oral family history indicates his fathers name was also Jonathan and that this particular line was "of British descent" but I have been unable to substantiate this. If we do it would be through one of the seven children of Jonathan Cooper 1675-1769 and Sarah Hibbs 1692-1769 of Buck's County PA or one of Jonathans six siblings that I have recorded.
