I was ecstatic when I obtained copies of the Beekman Patents and Lampham's Cooper history. I thought "This is IT, I've found my ancestors!!" At least until I compared the two documents. Now I admit, I consider myself an amateur at genealogy, even though I've been researching for 30 years (hey, I started young), but just HOW does one resolve the discrepancy between the two documents? Beekman has many more dates and places, but Lampham "nailed" the names. Lampham's people are definitely my Coopers. It appears to me that somehow she has left a generation out, particularly in her discussion of the "William" line. I would very much appreciate any opinions, clarifications, guidance, etc., as to how I can clear this up. Perhaps the confusion is mine alone.
What areas, and period of time? Gary Conrad V Dennis wrote: > I was ecstatic when I obtained copies of the Beekman Patents and > Lampham's Cooper history.
