My gr x4 grandparents, James and Susannah Cooper came to Michigan from Halstead, Essex, England in 1858. They settled in the Big Rapids, Mecosta and the Grand Rapids (Kent County) area of Michigan. They brought with them their children, Susan, James, John, Hannah, Emma, Octavius, and George (born in Michigan.) The birthdays of the children range from 1842 to 1860. Would love to share info with anyone connected with this family. Best Regards, Jeri Cooper DeVries Grand Rapids, Michigan >> Do you have dates for these people? I am researching 3 COOPER families in England and your given names are all very common in my files. Birthrates would sure help me to try and find a match. My oldest COOPER family starts in Kent, England in 1734 and spreads from there, then the other two families marry into it before the descendants start immigrating as well as after some have immigrated. We have now found 3 living descendants of other collateral families in England, but are still trying to find a COOPER descendant living in England. Annie
