For Gary Cooper: Hi Gary. You might be a possible lead to my COOPER's. Do you have the names Henry, George, William, Ula, Adam, or John in your line? Date of birth from 1750 to 1780 in Virginia. I and several of my relatives have been attempting to trace the origin of the COOPER family which settled in Montgomery County, Kentucky during the last decade of the 18th century. Records from that area and time are very difficult to find. Papers do indicate that the head of the family, Henry, was born in Virginia about 1760. His brothers George and William are definite relations as is the sister Ula. Adam and John lived in close proximity to Henry but the relationship is still uncertain. Please let me know if you have any information on any of these individuals. I will be on the road for the next couple of weeks and will be able to pick up my mail on an intermittent basis.
