    3. I don't believe this posting!!! I am sitting here looking for info on John Richmond, father of Elizabeth who married Wm. Cooper!! I would be interested in knowing more about him. Was he of german extraction ?? Where did he come from before Monmouth County. One of the Cooper lines in Monmouth Co, NJ, was of German descent, and of course, descendents of John of Long Island were there too, along with others. My cousin who recently passed away, age 96,said remember we are English!! We are part of the Alcock, Cooper,Grandin, Cottrell, Harrison, Conk and Lewis clan. I think William is the brother of Thomas, my ancestor. Part of this family was in Louisiana, from a posting I found on Ancestry last year or so. I am really interested in Mr. Richmond, father of Elizabeth. Can you give me some info please????? Thanks, Pauline in NY and Florida, but not both places at the same time..yuk, yuk -----Original Message----- From: Joy Durrett [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, March 13, 2005 9:48 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [COOPER] William Cooper born 4 May 1762 in Monmounth, NJ I too connect back to William Cooper and Elizabeth Richmond. My Cooper is Margaret Peggy Cooper married Jacob Boone. I know that we are cousin some how. Contact me off the list and lets compare notes. I am in the same boat as you. I do know where William Cooper born 14 May 1762 is from Monmouth County, NJ born there and died in Brown County, Ohio on 26 Sep 1859. If this is your William Cooper let me know. He married Elizabeth Richmond. This comes from a book on the Richmond line. If it is I am looking forward to comparing notes. Children of William Cooper and Elizabeth Richmond John Cooper born 1787 Joanna Cooper born 15 Dec 1793 Margaret (Peggy) Cooper born 10 Feb 1798 married Jacob Boone Sydney Cooper born Thomas Cooper Abt 1795 Mary Ellen (Polly) Cooper born 24 Aug 1799 Charles Cooper 18 Apr 1801 Eleanor Cooper born 13 Sept 1802 Zenas Cooper 1 Apr 1804 Jacob Cooper born 30 Nov 1805 Elizabeth (Eliza) Cooper born 15 Jan 1808 Peter Cooper born Abt 1809 David Cooper born 22 Feb 1822 I am sure the Boone's and Coopers intermarried as did other groups of this time. So if this is your William Cooper which son is your line because mine is Margaret "Peggy" Cooper married Jacob Boone. Thanks Joy Thank you.
